Hello there, today I am back with a birthday card for you. I have had these Adorable Elephants from My Favorite Things in my stash for a few months now, along with the super pretty MFT Confetti stencil which I was given for my birthday. So I thought I would combine the two for a sweet Happy Birthday card.
The background was created by blending Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink towards the top of the card panel. I then positioned the first of the two Confetti stencils (there are 2 in the set) and blended the same ink through it. I took the second stencil and applied Tumbled Glass through that so there are two colours of confetti fading down towards the bottom of the card. I sprayed the panel with Shimmer Spritz.
All the images were coloured with Copics (numbers listed below) and die cut with the coordinating dienamics. Before adhering them down, I stamped a greeting from the set. The ele and butterflies are popped up with foam tape and the balloons adhered flat with wet adhesive. I added some shimmer to the butterflies and the pink bits in the ears and some Tonic Nuvo Crystal Glaze to the balloons.
That finishes today’s card. Although these elephants have been around for a few years now, they were new to me and I loved inking them up. I’m looking foward to creating another card with them. Have a great weekend folks, happy crafting!
Copics used: Elephant (W0, W1, W2, W3, W5, R20, R000, R0000), Balloons (BV01, BV02, BV13, BV31, BG23, BG11 BG000) Butterflies (BG02, BG01, BG000, R22, R20, R000)
