Hello again friends, I hope you are well. Today I am sharing a card with you that features one of the more recently released stencils from Clearly Besotted. I think this stencil is really fun – it’s called Triangle Fade Out. I thought I would combine it with some ink blending, glimmer paste and a sweet ice-cream loving hippo.
I took a panel of Neenah 80lb and blended Worn Lipstick, Dried Marigold, Squeezed Lemonade and Twisted Citron Distress Inks from top to bottom through the stencil. I left the stencil in place and applied Moonstone Nuvo Glimmer Paste on top, removed the stencil and left the panel to air dry. I cleaned my stencil and palette knife immediately as the paste dries quickly. I take it to the sink and use running water and a soft toothbrush to clean it.
Once completely dry, the panel was trimmed and adhered to a base card. The sentiments are from Clearly Besotted Tiny Type – one of my most used sentiment sets as the greetings are small and are really good for masculine or feminine cards. These were stamped with Versamark and white heat embossed onto black cardstock. I trimmed with with my trusty SSS Sentiment Label Dies. The hippo is from Cooling Off – he and his huge ice cream (is there really any other way to go with ice cream?) were coloured with Copics. I popped them all up on foam tape onto some vellum which had been adhered behind a pretty scallop frame. This frame also has some foam tape behind it.
I think when you get a striking stencil like this, you really don’t like to cover it up too much and coupled with the fade out design, it really does look good when you can pretty much see the whole pattern from top to bottom. Thanks for your company today, I really hope you have a great day and appreciate your visit.
