Hello there! I am back today with my second video in my little mini series using the gorgeous Hello Lovely set from Concord & 9th. And I am watercolouring again today, but with a difference. I am watercolouring onto Neenah cardstock – not a normal medium at all for these pencils. I was recently inspired by Therese at Lost In Paper who has made a couple of cards using Inktense on Neenah and I thought I would give it a go.
So here is the card.
And here is the video for you. It has a lot of real time colouring in, so you can really see how I used these pencils and what they do when they react with water on Neenah. There are some sped up bits too, with some lovely soothing music. Grab a drink and come and join me!
By and large I think this was successful as you will see in the video. You definitely can’t add a lot of layers – I did 2 only and you use water very sparingly. So they don’t blend (or look) like they would on watercolour paper. Having said that, they give a different look which I loved. Close up, they look like coloured pencil a little but with a much looser feel. Interesting and fun!
Thank you so much for your company today. I appreciate you taking time out to watch the video, and I will be back soon with video 3 in the series. No colouring at all on the next one, but something a little different (if it works out!). Happy crafting!

Interesting look. I do adore those cards Therese made with her intense on Neenah, think I would be too heavy handed with them. Thank you for mini series
