Hello there, I hope you are well!
Well, I told you that I loved this Beautiful Day set! And I have another card for you using it in it’s stamp layering format. I made this months ago but hadn’t got around to writing the blog post, so you may have seen it already over on Instagram or on my Facebook pages.
Whilst I was playing around making this card for my friend, I thought I would stamp some extra flowers and petals in a colour that I just don’t use too often and I changed the design up a little bit too.
Very simple to pull together, and a bit quicker than my previous card as I omitted the glitter accents and pencil colouring. I used three yellow inks for the flowers and two greys for the leaves. The floral spray elements were stamped in a darker grey from the same set but they don’t have a second layer. Everything was stamped in the MISTI as it really is helpful for stamp layering and I used the coordinating dies to cut it out.
I used my same trick of using Press N Seal to pick up all the die cuts once I had arranged them before flipping it over and adding some wet adhesive. I then flip it (carefully so the die cuts don’t fly off everywhere!) back over and place it down on my panel.
I added a piece of MFT black and white stripes paper at the bottom of my base card before trimming the white panel to fit. Lastly, I stamped a sentiment from Altenew’s Handpicked Bouquet using Versafine Onyx Black ink, took my trusty SSS Sentiment Label Dies and trimmed it before popping it up with foam tape.
The usual spattering of sequins finished the card off. I promise I’ll try not to use this set again for a while! But I can’t seem to help myself…… Thank you as always for paying me a visit, I appreciate you!
