Welcome back to day three of the Clearly Besotted December release countdown teasers. Today’s card features an adorable new set called Love Story. There are lots of different images you can use to create your own love story and include them in a film strip.
So, here is what I came up with for today’s card.
I began by taking MFT Cement Gray Premium Dye Ink and stamping the film strip twice across the card. I really wanted to keep the feeling of this card light and grey ink is a great way of adding a bit of colour but keeping the card neutral so that the pink really pops.
I then stamped three of the skunk images onto Neenah cardstock and coloured them with Copics. In my mind, the first skunk is giving flowers to his intended (like on a first date), the second one he is carrying a little heart (as he starts falling in love) and then you have the Paris skyline followed by the skunk with the diamond (as if he has just propsed). That was my thinking when I created their little love story.
I fussy cut the skunks out and popped them up with foam tape. I then stamped the Paris skyline in Cement Gray onto Neenah and die cut it with a square Spellbinders die that was the exact right size to fit within the film strip. Love it when that happens! And then I die cut two more squares from pink cardstock and stamped the start and end greetings onto those. Everything was popped up with foam tape.
To finish I stamped a greeting from the Love Story Sentiments set (also being released in December) onto some SSS Fog cardstock. I trimmed it down and added it to the panel with foam tape.
I think this is such a unique set and there are other images you can use to create your story – a beach scene, a cityscape and skunks with balloons etc. Very sweet! I will be back tomorrow with my final teaser. In the meantime, do hop on over to the Clearly Besotted Blog, Michelle and Keren. Until tomorrow, have a lovely day!
Copics used: V04, RV02, RV04, RV06, B00, C0, C1, C3, C5, C6
