Hello everyone, today I am back with the start of the Clearly Besotted countdown teasers for the April release. Lots of plushie fun in this release and I am kicking off with some rainbow inspiration and a parachuting bunny.
With all the rubbish news around at the moment, who doesn’t need a little rainbow in their life? And a cute parachuting bunny! This card started off looking completely different. So different I can’t even remember all the different attempts haha. But in the end I did an about turn and got some coloured cardstock out and cut 2cm strips from each before adhering them down onto a white panel. I then trimmed this down and matted it onto an A2 base.
Next I took two of the images from Parchuting Plushies – there are a couple of parachutes you can choose from and a bunch of cute critters to have attached to them. I stamped and coloured them lightly with Copics (numbers listed below) and then fussy cut them out. Yes. I did fussy cut in between the parachute strings. I am not great with a craft knife but just about managed to do it without slicing through one of the strings! Or my finger.
To finish, I stamped a greeting from the set onto some black cardstock, added some white powder and heat set. A few Crystal Circles from Lucy’s cards were added to give a bit of embellishment. What is actually a really simple card took me about 2 and a half hours by the time I ditched all my other ideas! But I really like how this came out – the bright stripes with the very light grey bunny and chute.
Do hop over to the Clearly Besotted Blog, and onto Keren , Michelle and our April release Guest Designer Rina to see what inspiration they have for you today. I will be back with another teaser tomorrow. Happy crafting!
Copics used: C4, C3, C2, C1, C0, R20

Ooh I love the rainbow background. I do hope grey bunny is ok and safely landed, with his loose string and all. What these critters do in the name of art is inspiring x
