Hello again friends! Welcome back to day two of the countdown teasers for the April release from Clearly Besotted. I always love a sea themed set and so I was delighted to see this amongst the new sets. You’ll have lots of fun with this set, especially if you combine it with some other previously released sets you may have in your stash and the new stencil aptly named Sea You Soon. Which is what I did today.
I started by taking a panel of white cardstock, laying down my Taylor Expressions Rectangles masking stencil and then the new Sea You Soon stencil over the top. I took two Distress Oxides, Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean, and stencilled the waves about a third of the way up the card. I removed both stencils and set the panel aside.
I took a dolphin and a narwhal from Sea You Plushies, stamped and coloured them with Copics and fussy cut them out. I had originally planned just to have the two critters on the card with some raindrop embellishments to look like bubbles but thought it looked a little dull when I tried it out. So to add some more pops of colour, I took the Sweet Seahorse and Picture It Ocean sets, stamped a few of those images and coloured those also.
I stamped a greeting from the set in the top left and then added all my images onto the panel, some flat and some popped up. Next I added some shimmer onto the kelp and starfish. Just because. The panel was then adhered onto a top folding notecard.
So that finished my card off for today’s teaser. Cute and fun and ready to post off to anyone that you won’t have seen in a while due to this whole self isolating thing. I might need a few more of these! It would be lovely if you could head on over to the Clearly Besotted Blog and also to Michelle, Keren and Rina to see what they have up their sleeves for you today. I’ll be back tomorrow, in the meantime, happy crafting
Copics used: Dolphin/Whale (C6, C5, C4, C3, C2, C1, C0), Kelp (YG01, YG03, YG17), Starfish (YR14, YR15, YR16)
