Welcome back to day two of the Clearly Besotted teasers. We are continuing with the theme of love, but today I have some sweet gnomes sitting in front of their candyland heaven. This card could also double up as a new home card – and the new set is called Gnome One Like You.
The sharp eyed among you may notice that the street behind the gnomes is actually from the recently released Christmas set called Gnome For Christmas. Instead of the snow on top of the houses, I coloured it as if it was icing and used pinks/reds/teals/greens for my main image colours, together with a few shades of brown which I think makes the buildings look like chocolate cake! If only!
So, I stamped the image onto Neenah and coloured it with Copics and then fussy cut it out. The two gnomes holding the heart are from the new set and these were also stamped and then coloured with Copics.
To create the card, I took a panel and die cut a circle window. I then placed the street image behind, lined it up, and then adhered it to a card base using double sided tape. I added a small strip of black to look like a road. The window panel was then added on top followed by the gnomes which were popped up with foam tape.
To finish I stamped a sentiment from the new set onto black cardstock using Versamark Ink. I added white detail embossing powder and heat set. This was also popped up with foam tape.
I’ll be back tomorrow with some hugs for you, but in the meantime, I hope you have some time to pop over to the Clearly Besotted blog and onto Michelle and Keren. See you tomorrow folks, and thanks as always for stopping by. Happy crafting!
