Hello friends, and welcome back to day three of the Clearly Besotted countdown teasers for June 2021. I hope that you are enjoying all the inspiration so far from the team and our super talented guests! Today is hump day in terms of the countdowns – we are half way through and today I have a card featuring the set I Dig You. This is a lovely set, full of adorable critters, a vegetable stamp and lots of fun accents to go along with it. So here is what I made.
To start off I took my Hero Arts Circle Infinity Dies and cut three circles from a panel of 80lb white cardstock. I then laid this over some Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock and lightly traced the three circles to serve as my guide for stamping. For the top two circles I stamped a small portion of the vegetable line up stamp from the set using Versafine Onyx Black ink as it is waterproof. For the bottom circle I just drew a feint pencil line for the grass bank and went over it with a Black Copic multiliner.
Distress Inks were my watercolor medium of choice today and I spent a happy half an hour painting all the images including the Koala with watering can and water flow which I thought were so sweet!
To assemble the card I added the watercoloured panel onto a base card using DST and then I added foam tape onto the back of the window panel and adhered it over the top. The koala was added using foam tape and Multi Medium Matte.
To finish the card I took the speech bubble from Chitter Chatter and stamped it onto white cardstock using Versafine Onxy Black Ink. The sentiment “I’m rooting for you” is included in I Dig You, and the “Good Luck” is from Chitter Chatter. I fussy cut them both out and they were added to my card with foam tape for a bit of extra dimension.
